Hatchet
The “Math > Your Mother” poster is my favorite thing ever. Had that poster been up in any of my math classes I’d totally been motivated to math it up all the time. As for the Black Magic poster, in elementary school I would tell my math teacher that math was ‘black magic’ every time I had trouble understanding it. And since I struggle most in math, I referred to it as black magic quite often. So often that she actually banned the use of the words ‘black’ and ‘magic’ from being used within six words of each other. Now that time has passed and I have matured quite a bit and even have an understanding of math that allows me to appreciate its greater importance in the education of each individual, to my dear elementary school teacher, that poster appearing in this comic is my way of saying ‘NEENER NEENER NEENER’.

you attack Washington and defend Christopher Columbus? *squints intently* What’s your game, man?
I have no recollection of ever providing any opinion of Christopher Columbus that was anything but indifference. And I like Washington. I would never attack it, I plan to eventually move there. We are talking about the state, right?
PFFFT…Columbus was a hack…he made a wrong turn and caused the near complete genocide of an entire indigenous people….also he wasn’t the first European to cross the Atlantic to the Americas…..the Vikings got here a couple hundred years before him.
And then the vikings left behind one of their own, who was raised by the natives and then battled the vikings when they returned and that’s how the movie Pathfinder happened.
Yeah but you know who got here before the Vikings? That’s right woolly mammoths.
Lately, the comments section here has taken it up a notch, debating history, abstract theories, and such.
Yes, I like it.
Yeah but we don’t really talk about the comic anymore, that’s the trade off lol
