Forgetful

Sep 4, 2014

Before I launched the web-comic, I considered renaming all the characters but decided against it due to my friends finding more enjoyment with them in having the characters named after them. Austin would have been named Oscar, but would have gone by Oz or Ozzy. Looking back, Ozzy’s Inferno isn’t as catchy a title. Bryan probably would have been Brian…

So today I preordered Destiny. Long story short, I’m not getting anything done this semester.

└ Chapter: 14
└ Characters: Austin, Bryan, The Cashier

    Right, he “forgot” his pants.
(I do the same thing, although I always find it more comfortable that way)

Then there’s only one thing we can do…
        Get rid of them…FOREVER!

So he went through the entire training regime without pants? Also nice use of bgs and angles makes the scene feel stronger

Yeah definitely! The scene was established in a stronger form. Looking back i don’t think Tony ever refers to characters of first name does he?

Nah he usually goes by last name haha

I think most of the cast is right?

          • DairyBoy117

It depends on who is speaking, and with who. Austin and Ashlee for example uses everyone’s first name. Alberto uses first names with people he’s close to, and last names with people he’s not as close to.

Yeah Austin and Ashlee seem the ones most like to speak on first name basis. I like that you do little things like that. It makes the characters feel more rounded and gives the depth

Its a good way to work on the character’s interactions with each other, establishing little rules like that.

To quote my favorite author (myself), “first names are identities and surnames are labels” and Tony would rather not think of his classmates as individuals.

I’m just used to being called by my last name from my time in the service

Yeah after years of football practice I sort of became accustomed to going by my last name, even prefer it to some degree.

though my last name is Phillips so I get to hear the damn screwdriver joke all the time…even when I was in the Navy there was a Captain who was cool as hell but teased me about the screwdriver thing….his name was Cptn Reik III (The 3rd Reich AKA Nazi Germany)…and I still got a name joke from that guy….although we had a Commander America for a while….we kept hoping he would get promoted to Captain so hard

hahaha if he got promoted to Captain, the world would be a perfect place

and I know how it feels having that joke everyone makes over and over. You know how many people call me Austin Powers?

A lot. Most of them. Practically everyone I meet.
