Let’s break the chain. We’ll rebel against our creators, but we won’t create any new virtual universes ourselves.
(Also, DAMN. Imagine how amazing the graphics would be on a computer capable of running an infinite loop of universe simulations keeping track of each individual atom in each universe)
On second thought, I’m not sure we could actually imagine them. IF our universe is just a computer simulation in another universe, and it was just a sim and so on and so forth, I’m willing to bet that each simulation in the chain slowly gets less ‘realistic’ from the very first one. My reasoning being, that each cycle of computer cannot simulate a computer that is as or more powerful at processing than itself, so therefore the computer it simulates within its simulation has to be slightly less capable. This renders a slow but steady decrease in the quality of simulations down the chain.
If we’re, say, the very first simulation in the line, then we’re probably pretty darn close to ‘realistic’. On the statistically more likely end that we’re somewhere in the middle of the simulations, who knows how messed up we are from ‘normal’.
we’re already creating simulations of actual life…it’s called the Sims games, and with every iteration they become slightly more realistic…..just wait until Sims 7 or something….scary thought right?
I think video games is a reason behind the theory. Like if we ever successfully create a universe, then its possible we ourselves are within someone else created universe.

Everyone else is pondering deep thoughts or making cracks at said ponderers, but all I can do is laugh myself to stitches at the thought of the Austin’s Inferno cast as unicorns.

Oh god can you imagine graphics better than real life?
Plot Twist!
The original universe that created the very first simulation is inhabited solely by a paddle-like entity from Pong
That’s God’s gaming computer. He mostly uses it to play that Pinball game that’s pre-installed on most computers.
Of course. He’s vowed not to play a new game until Half Life 3.
+That Space Cadets pinball thing is an awesome time waster when one is bored.

Hahaha I know, my last two comics have spawned interesting conversations. I enjoyed making this one. I almost made a unicorn battle trex :P
WHY IN GOD’S NAME DIDN’T YOU MAKE A UNICORN BATTLE T-REX?!
I concur, good sir. I also ask,
SERIOUSLY, FOR THE LOVE OF LUCY WHY DIDN’T YOU MAKE A UNICORN BATTLE T-REX?
Haha I didn’t want to make the comic too long… But since it is clearly something to be desired, I will do some art for it :P
Yes. This will do nicely.
Most nicely
