Mrs. Rich

The Hatchet’s adviser who works day and night to teach her students about journalism, on top of important life lessons about integrity, maturity, hard work, and not lighting her daughter Tori on fire. The last one doesn’t seem to click with Austin all the time.

Mrs. Rich is determined to break Austin’s arrogant determination to be as lazy as possible and make something of him. She has sworn that this will be her final challenge, and upon completing it she shall retire. Maybe somewhere nice like a beach with a No Austin’s Allowed rule.

When she isn’t teaching class or helping the Hatchet make deadline, she coaches Washington Union’s softball team.
