# Empty

OKAY so you know how I always make promises and then fail to deliver on them?

HAHAHA yeah I suck, I know.

Good news, story arc is STILL HAPPENING. Bad news, as the chaos theory dictates my life, what should have been a month of me getting Act 1 of this story arc completed turned into a month of me returning home due to some family emergencies. It hasn’t been a fun month, at all.

So how much of Act 1 is completed? Not a lot. I’m too embarrassed to say how little of it is done.

But I’d rather get some work published than none at all. I am going to post Act 1 week by week until it is entirely completed, in which the remainder of the arc will post a few pages a week as I begin work on Act 2.

WHY is it so pressing to me that I get this arc going? Well the arc is very COVID related, and the pandemic is over. I don’t want to bore you guys with comics about a thing that has already long passed (as if we won’t be feeling the ramifications of the pandemic for the next 10 years but who’s thinking that far ahead). When I wrote this arc we were still WAY in the thick of this thing. And I still think these comics are important enough to me to make.

And the thing is, it’s really only the first half(ish) of this arc that is centered around the pandemic, the latter half transitions to other less real world type stuff, and takes us super deep into some heavy Austin’s Inferno lore that’s been planned for years now. Some parts as far back as before I even started the comic.

So after mulling it over, I decided I’ll just get this thing moving. If it blows up in my face and I fail to finish this thing, it blows up. It is what it is.
