So I went to the local county fair last Saturday again. I, of course, re-rode the ride plastered with Halo pictures. I mean, who in their right mind would NOT ride that?

Then later that night I participated in a hypnotist show. I learned a great deal about how hypnotism works just through being hypnotized (plus already gathered knowledge about the stages of sleep).

Being hypnotized is nothing like it is in the movies, where the person’s mind goes blank and then they randomly wake up and they turned out they did all this awesome stuff without knowing it. It isn’t like that. I was 100% aware of what I was doing.

From the experience, what I’ve gathered about it is hypnosis is putting someone in this stage just before they start falling to sleep where they lack any judgement or skepticism. Just before you become completely unconscious as you go to sleep, you will do just about anything. Even think things you normally wouldn’t. You lose that little voice in your head that makes you afraid of what others will think of you.

And that’s pretty much what happened. I was so relaxed, that I didn’t care. So when the hypnotist asked me to do something, by the prophets, I [FRONK]ing did it to the best of my own ability! The entire time, I was thinking “my friends are probably laughing their asses off right now”, and maybe that would have stopped me when not hypnotized (maybe not, cause I’m used to my friends laughing at me), but regardless, I still did it.

It was very interesting and you don’t feel embarrassed about any of the insane stuff he makes you do. I recommend trying it out just for fun if every given the opportunity!
