So I was eating pop tarts the other day. Pop Tarts are freaking amazing. They aren’t too crumby, and they don’t get stuff all over your fingers so you can snack on them while you’re gaming!

So I’m just letting everyone know a day ahead of schedule that the comic series will no longer be known as “Our Average High School Lives.”
This was a change I’ve been wanting to make since before I started the series, but I didn’t have many name ideas at the time and that one worked for just getting the comics started. When I was in high school, I did a comic strip with these characters and it too was called “OAHSL”. The name worked back then. Now I feel it’s a bit too child-like, and now that I feel like the balls really rolling, I should give the series it’s new name, which from now on will be called “Austin’s Inferno”.
Now just to clarify things, because a few people I talked this over weren’t completely sure what the name change meant, this name change means nothing. Nothing immediate anyways. The series isn’t going to change slightly, other than the name at the top left corner of each comic. And it wont even have all the flames around it like that. I just drew those on there cause I was bored and didn’t want to do my homework.
It’s an obvious reference to “Dante’s Inferno”. Assuming I keep doing this, a more resonate connection between my comics and Alighieri’s epic poem will become more clear. But the comics as they are now, as they will continue to be, will still be the same exact story about a taco-snacking, classroom-slacking Halo fan on a high school newspaper staff. Same humor. Tony may make more Dante references, but I initially planned it to be that way anyways.
So yeah. Just letting you guys know haha

I’m going to assume the Doughboy bleeds strawberry jam. ‘Cus that’s amazing. Also, I almost thought you said “snack while gambling”. Yeah, show up to the casino in a fur coat and top hat, one of your yesmen hands you a pop tart at the blackjack table…lol.
I will do that some day as well
Bahahaha I see no flawed logic there.
